Sarah Ampil, soprano
Sarah studied a Bachelor of Music at UNSW and is currently a postgraduate candidate in vocal performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the guidance of Andrew Dalton. This year (2014) she is a grateful recipient of the Patricia Lucas Music Achievement Scholarship. She has been a choral soprano for the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra since 2011, and sang as part of the Chorus of Ninfi in their inaugural opera production of Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo" in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Solo credits include CPE Bach's Magnificat & Schubert's Mass in A-flat with UNSW Collegium Musicum; Copland's 'In the beginning' with the Burgundian Consort and Pergolesi's 'Stabat Mater' alongside Schola Caeciliana. In July 2013, Sarah was a finalist in the Joan Sutherland Memorial Vocal Scholarship.
